About ContrastKit
Building the fastest, most reliable WCAG 2.2 color contrast checker and accessibility toolkit for modern developers, UX designers, and design system teams.
Why We Built ContrastKit
Digital accessibility is the cornerstone of an open, inclusive internet. Yet, automated web accessibility audits continually discover that over 80% of top websites violate basic color contrast standards, creating severe barriers for users with low vision, color blindness, cataracts, or those viewing screens under bright outdoor sunlight.
Existing online contrast calculators were trapped in the past: clunky single-pair forms, lacking support for multi-color design palettes, filled with intrusive advertisements, or requiring backend requests that tracked user activity.
We built ContrastKit to provide an uncompromising, developer-first tool suite: testing individual pairs, auditing entire design palettes with an NxN Contrast Matrix, offering mathematical Smart Color-Fix auto-healing, and rendering real-world buttons, inputs, and dark/light components with zero server dependencies.
100% In-Browser Privacy
Your color palettes and code stay exclusively in your browser memory. We never transmit or store your inputs.
Instant Math & Auto-Heal
Real-time relative luminance computations and smart lightness adjustments preserving hue and chroma.
Design System Ready
One-click exports for CSS Custom Properties, Tailwind CSS v4 `@theme`, Tailwind v3, and Design Tokens JSON.
Open Web Standards Commitment
ContrastKit adheres strictly to official W3C guidelines (WCAG 2.2 Recommendation and APCA working drafts). We believe in building utilities that are fast, accessible, respectful of privacy, and forever free.
